Rental terms

Last updated July 2026.

About these terms

These terms describe the conditions on which K Motors, 5950 Ravenswood Rd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312, rents a car to you. They are a summary written in plain language. The rental agreement you sign when you collect the car is the contract between us, and where the two differ, the signed agreement applies.

Who can rent

The driver must hold a full, valid driving licence and be able to show it, together with photo identification, when collecting the car. A licence issued outside the United States must be accompanied by whatever additional document the law requires. The minimum age, the minimum time you must have held your licence, and any young-driver condition are confirmed for your chosen car when your rental is booked.

Only drivers named on the rental agreement may drive the car. Anyone else driving it is not covered.

Requests and confirmation

Sending a request through this website tells us which car and which dates you are interested in. It is not a confirmed reservation. Your rental is confirmed only once we have spoken to you and agreed the dates, the price, and the conditions.

Price, payment, and deposit

The price shown for each car is a price per day. The total for your rental is the number of rental days multiplied by that daily price, together with any charge separately agreed with you before you collect the car.

A refundable security deposit is taken when you collect the car and released after the car is returned in the condition it left in. The amount of the deposit, the payment methods we accept, and when the deposit is released are confirmed when your rental is booked.

Fuel

Please return the car with the same amount of fuel it had when you collected it. If it comes back with less, we charge for the missing fuel at the rate stated in your rental agreement.

Mileage

Each rental includes a mileage allowance, which is confirmed when your rental is booked. Mileage driven beyond that allowance is charged at the per-mile rate stated in your rental agreement.

How the car may be used

The car must not be:

  • driven by anyone who is not named on the rental agreement;
  • driven by anyone under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that impairs them;
  • used to carry passengers or goods for hire or reward, including rideshare or delivery work, unless we have agreed it in writing;
  • used in a race, rally, speed test, or driving tuition;
  • used to tow or push another vehicle;
  • driven off sealed roads, or anywhere the rental agreement says it may not go;
  • sub-let, lent, or sold to anyone else;
  • overloaded beyond the manufacturer's limits.

Smoking in the car is not permitted. Cleaning charges apply if the car is returned smoked in.

Cover, damage, and accidents

The cover that applies to your rental, and the amount you remain responsible for if the car is damaged or stolen, are explained and confirmed when your rental is booked. You are responsible for damage to the car while it is in your care, on the terms set out in your rental agreement.

If the car is involved in an accident, damaged, or stolen, tell us as soon as you safely can on (305) 502-4658, report it to the police where the law requires it, and do not admit liability on our behalf.

Tolls, tickets, and fines

You are responsible for tolls, parking charges, traffic fines, and any other penalty incurred while the car is in your care, including any that reach us after the rental has ended. Where we have to deal with a notice on your behalf, we may also charge the administration fee stated in your rental agreement.

Breakdown and repairs

If the car develops a fault, stop driving it where it is unsafe to continue and call us on (305) 502-4658. Please do not arrange repairs or have the car towed without agreeing it with us first.

Collection and return

Collect and return the car at the place, date, and time set out in your rental agreement. If you need the car for longer, contact us before the rental ends so we can agree an extension. A car kept past the agreed return time without an agreed extension continues to be charged, and may not be covered.

Cancelling or changing a rental

Tell us as soon as you know that your plans have changed. The notice we need in order to cancel or change a booking without a charge, and any charge that applies after that point, are confirmed when your rental is booked. Where a rental is returned early, any refund for the unused days is as set out in your rental agreement.

Personal belongings

Please take your belongings with you when you return the car. We cannot accept responsibility for property left in a car after it has been returned.

Personal details

How we handle the details you give us is set out in our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms and any rental made under them are governed by the law of the State of Florida.
